Watermark Hotel collects information from various sources. These include, but are not limited to our website, reservations system and other published information stores such as public directories, etc. From time to time we may ask our customers for their email address in order to provide relevant information such as reservation confirmations and offers. Visitors may receive periodic offers and information from the Watermark Hotel about our products and services. At any time a visitor may opt out of receiving email communication by following the unsubscribed link posted in every email or by contacting us direct.
What kind of information do we collect?
Depending on your status with us, we are collecting a degree of information about you. As a potential customer, we will only store information, which serves to identify you as a person, such as your address, email address and other contact details. As a existing customer we may also retain statistical information about your stay and details relating to financial transactions which took place during your stay.Under no circumstances do we collect sensitive information as defined by the Privacy Act, about you as a person.
How do we store information?
Watermark Hotel a maintains stringent control of its computer networks and archived storage areas. No information about our current and potential customers is available to the public. All information relating to our customers' prior stays is stored in a secure location available only to select staff members.
What do we do with the information we collect?
As part of the service that we provide to our current and potential customers, we may mail or call our customers' to inform them of enhancements, changes in offerings, special events, or other relevant information responsive to the customers interests. We do not share any information we possess on our current and potential customers with third parties.
Access to, update and removal of information
We will, on request, provide you with access to the information we hold about you, including for the purpose of correcting that a customer request to be removed will be retained in certain files in order to properly resolve disputes or to trouble shoot problems. In addition, information is never completely removed from our databases due to technical and legal restraints, including stored "back-up" systems. Therefore visitors should not expect that all of their personally identifiable information will be completely removed from our databases in response to their requests.

All booking and payment information provided on our online booking facility is exchanged by a secure server utilising 128 bit encryption. Within the reservation process we provide a profile section. Filling in this information makes it easier for customers to conduct certain transactions, including making hotel reservations online. We respect our customers privacy and maintain their profile information on a secure server, where it can reviewed and updated anytime.
We will not use our customers confidential information for purposes other than those outlined in this privacy statement.
